Nitrox Diver, Underwater Photographer, Underwater Naturalist, Wreck Diver, Drift Diver and Night Diver.

He has been associated with Scuba for many years and is well known in the local community. PADI is the largest scuba qualifying agency in the world. Another of our staff is a PADI divemaster.

THE DIVING
The Ocean and Islands off-shore California offer world class diving. Catalina Island, San Clemente Island and Las Islas Coronado offer a chance to escape the bustle of shore diving and really do some exploring off-shore. The Sea of Cortez, just south of the border, offers the chance to dive tropical waters. During the years here we have dived with Large Rays, Elephant Seals, California Sea-Lions,Harbor seals and a host of other marine animals. We once saw a whale underwater near Cabo San Lucas.

PRIVATE LESSONS
If you wish to learn how to Scuba Dive, or have a hankering to improve your skills and to learn other skills underwater, then the Marco Polo Connection is the place to start. We use a fast local private dive charter boat and limit our numbers to six or less. We organize trips for small classes or just for fun to the local Coronado Islands. These Pristine offshore islands are a local treasure and a marine Paradise. Visiting the calm lee side of the North Island is like taking a trip to an exotic dive spa. The sun usually shines and the water is usually calm. The visibility is often in excess of 50 ft. There is a host of good underwater stuff to see and the locale is first class. We have spotted the rare Guadalupe Cardinal fish here. Several times, on a trip to the Islands we have been able to swim with huge Ocean Sun Fish.

Travel time is usually less than an hour. We provide tanks and weights, a pleasant lunch and a dive guide to dive with you. The boat is equipt with hot showers, bunks and full safety gear. We are able to rent full 7 mm wet suits and all associated equipment. If you do not know how to dive consider taking our resort course that qualifies you to dive in company with an instructor. He will take you on an underwater experience to be treasured. We also offer snorkling trips to the islands. It has been our experience that snorkling offers almost as much fun as diving.

SEA of CORTEZ
We will, on request, put together a custom dive trip to the Sea of Cortez. On these expeditions we will accommodate you in a small palapa or tented campsite and do some really exotic diving in a locale seldom visited. We also operate small fully custom trips to the peublito of Bahia de los Angeles, Baja California, in season between September and May.
